Is Love the Answer? (Spoiler: Yes)

I’ve come to believe — not just in theory, but deep in my bones — that love is the answer. Every time.

Not the fluffy, surface kind of love. I’m talking about the real kind: the love that heals, that guides, that sees beyond fear. The kind of love that is something bigger than us— call it God, Source, Spirit, the Divine.

But I didn’t always live with love.
And if you're reading this and feel like your life doesn’t quite fit anymore… like you're being pulled toward something but you’re not sure what — I see you. I’ve been there. And I want to share a part of my story in case it helps you return to what really matters.

The Day I Forgot Love

Recently I went on a retreat called Miracles and Self-Love with Robert and Hollie Holden. It was meant to be a reset — I’d been feeling out of alignment again. But what I didn’t expect was to realise something huge:

I had forgotten love.

Not completely — but I had drifted from the loving energy that once carried me out of my darkest place.

You see, love is what saved me when I was at my lowest.

I was suffering with anorexia, my health was in ruins, I was anaemic and stuck in a job that drained my soul. My body was falling apart and so was my spirit. I remember reading You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay around that time, along with other spiritual books, and something cracked open in me.

That was the beginning of everything.

A Love Fest on the Bus

I made the radical decision to love myself — even when I didn’t feel lovable. And even more radically, I started choosing to love the people around me.

I sent love to my job, even if I didn’t enjoy it.
I sent love to the people I worked with, even if I clashed with them.
I even did a little "love fest" every morning on the bus to work — mentally blessing every single person I saw.

Somewhere in that act of choosing love, my energy shifted. And when my energy shifted, my life began to shift too.

Angels, Reiki & Asking for Help

That awakening led me to Reiki — a woman at work was a Reiki Master and we began talking. I’d had a brief experience of Reiki years earlier and was intrigued. She also gave me a book by Lorna Byrne, who sees angels. In it, Lorna said something that stuck with me:

“Always ask the angels for help.”

So I did. Even though I knew nothing about angels at the time, I began talking to them. Asking. Trusting.

At the same time, another colleague introduced me to Louise Hay — and I devoured You Can Heal Your Life. It was like the Universe was placing little breadcrumbs in my path, all pointing back to one thing: Love.

A Pivotal Retreat Moment

So when I found myself years later at that retreat with Robert and Hollie Holden — feeling off-centre and unsure about what to do in my business — I was trying to “figure it out” from the head. I asked Robert for clarity on an exercise, but what I was really seeking was confirmation of a path that (deep down) I knew wasn’t right.

He paused, looked at me and said:

“Louise, it’s about finding your higher purpose. And I know that when you do, you’ll create success.”

It hit me like a thunderbolt.
Tears welled up.
Because I knew he was right.

I was trying to make decisions from ego, from fear. I was trying to do it all by myself — instead of from love. Allowing love (divine/God/spirit) help me.
That moment reminded me: Return to love. Be love. Live love. Ask Love for help.

And so I did.

Love Opened the Door (Again)

At the retreat, I saw they were running another event at Findhorn in Scotland. My heart leapt — but then my brain kicked in: “You don’t have the money. It’s not realistic.”

I dismissed it.
But a week later, I saw they were running a discovery call for that very retreat.
Part of me thought, “There’s no point — I can’t go.”
But another part whispered, “Just show up.”

So I did.

On the call, Robert mentioned a scholarship place. I applied… and I got it.
I’m heading to Findhorn in a couple of months.

The Deeper Truth

Here’s what I know now:
Love — Divine Love, God, the creative force of the universe — is always guiding us forward.

It always has the answers.
It always knows your next step.
But we must ask. And we must listen.

Your spiritual team is always beside you.
But you have to invite them in.

Sometimes guidance comes in the form of a voice or a dream. But often, it’s more subtle:
A quiet nudge.
A lyric that won’t leave your head.
A passage in a book.
An Instagram post.
A whisper within.

If we’re too busy striving, proving, or doubting — we miss it.
But when we slow down and return to love… we hear.

“If you knew Who walks beside you on the path you have chosen, fear would be impossible.” – A Course in Miracles

So this is your reminder today:
Turn to love.
Ask for help.
And trust that your path is unfolding — even if you can’t see it all yet.
